I have 24+ years’ experience in plastic and cosmetic surgery. My aim is to ensure a welcoming and personalised experience for all of my patients and to attain the best possible results. My experienced team and I have a commitment to excellent patient care.

I hold Specialist Registration in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in both Australia and the UK. AHPRA Specialist Registration MED0000962390.

I completed my medical and surgical studies at the University of Cambridge, England and undertook surgical training in the UK and USA.

    Experienced in all aspects of cosmetic plastic surgery, I have authored over 75 peer-reviewed articles on plastic and cosmetic surgery.

I have undertaken cosmetic surgery since 1999 in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

I am the recipient of a number of international and national awards including the Mentor Prize awarded by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons for the best cosmetic paper in the British Journal of Plastic Surgery, the Hackett Memorial Prize awarded by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons for my published work on cosmetic surgery, as well as the prize for Best Publication from Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons for my contribution on breast augmentation in the Journal of the International society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

In 2022 I was invited to be a member of the Australian Government’s Technical Advice Group for the independent review of the regulation of medical practitioners who perform cosmetic surgery, commissioned by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Medical Board of Australia.

I am a member of the Credentialling Committee of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), with the aim of creating some internationally agreed standards for training in cosmetic surgery for plastic surgeons.

I hold the position of Adjunct Professor at Queensland University of Technology, working with the breast biomechanics group.

I am a reviewer for the following peer reviewed journals: Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Journal of Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, ANZ Journal of Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

I only operate in accredited hospitals. All the anaesthetists I work with are Fellows of the Australasian College of Anaesthetists.

I am assisted during surgery by Tracey Murphy and Kas Hollingsworth, Nurse Practitioners. Surgical assisting is part of their AHPRA scope of practice.

I have authored over 75 peer reviewed articles in plastic and cosmetic surgery and continue to publish articles from my clinical practice in Berwick aimed at improving standards through evidence-based research.
